Licence terms

Last updated: October 2026

These terms apply to all training and assessment resources purchased from VET Scholar Resources. By purchasing or downloading resources you agree to them.

1. Grant of licence

On payment, VET Scholar Resources grants the purchasing Registered Training Organisation (the Licensee) a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to use the purchased resources for the delivery and assessment of training under the Licensee's RTO registration.

The licence covers one legal entity and one RTO registration number, for an unlimited number of learners, across all campuses and delivery modes operated by the Licensee.

2. Permitted use

The Licensee may reproduce, edit, brand and contextualise the resources, and distribute them to its enrolled learners and staff in print, electronically or through a learning management system.

The Licensee is responsible for contextualising resources to its Training and Assessment Strategy, learner cohort and delivery mode, and for ensuring that unit selection complies with the relevant packaging rules.

3. Restrictions

The Licensee must not sell, lease, sub-license, share or otherwise make the resources available to any other RTO, organisation or person, including partner or third-party providers not named in the licence agreement.

The Licensee must not remove copyright notices or represent the resources as its own original work for the purpose of sale.

4. Intellectual property

VET Scholar Resources retains all copyright and intellectual property rights in the resources, including in any updates. Modifications made by the Licensee do not transfer ownership of the underlying work.

5. Updates

Updates to licensed units are provided at no charge for as long as the unit remains current on the National Register. Where a unit is superseded by a new unit code, the replacement is a new product offered to existing Licensees at a transition rate.

6. Rectification guarantee

If a resource used as supplied, with changes limited to branding, formatting and designated contextualisation fields, is formally found non-compliant in a regulatory audit or validation, VET Scholar Resources will rectify the resource at no charge and provide a written technical response. Claims must be lodged within 30 days with the audit report and the tools submitted.

The guarantee does not extend to the administration of assessment, trainer and assessor requirements, evidence collected by the Licensee, or resources altered beyond the permitted scope. VET Scholar Resources does not guarantee any regulatory outcome.

7. Refunds

Resources are digital goods delivered immediately and are non-refundable for change of mind. Nothing in these terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Accidental duplicate purchases will be credited.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, VET Scholar Resources' liability for any claim arising from the resources is limited to the licence fee paid for the resource concerned.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State in which VET Scholar Resources is registered, and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of its courts.
